Valdene Reddy is the Director of Capital Markets at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. In this capacity she is responsible for capital raise across primary markets and secondary market trading. This includes the sourcing of new listings at the exchange across equity, debt and structured products, as well the development and management of all secondary market trading in cash and derivative markets (Equities, Bonds, Interest Rates, Commodities and Currencies).
In addition, Valdene has extended the development of new markets in South Africa, including the launch of JSE Private Placements and JSE Ventures Voluntary Carbon Market. She also manages the Issuer Services business at the JSE, covering the locally listed companies and oversight of JSE subsidiary, JIS, a leading share registry business in South Africa.
Valdene’s career spans almost two decades across various financial institutions. Before joining the JSE, Valdene worked at two international investment banks in equity and equity derivatives sales and trading, covering local and foreign institutional clients.
Valdene holds a Bachelor of Business Science, Actuarial Science degree from the University of Cape Town; is a Certified Director with the Institute of Directors South Africa and has recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Ronen Nachmias is a technology executive and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in building and running mission-critical systems at scale. As co-founder and CTO of exberry, Ronen leads the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy, helping it become a leading exchange and trading technology provider. Ronen's diverse background includes working in various industries, including gaming and finance, where he oversaw the development of critical financial systems, ledgers, and payment systems. With his deep expertise in developing ultra-low latency and distributed systems, Ronen is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and driving innovation. His mission at exberry is to empower organizations to quickly launch and grow their own trading platforms, driving competition and improving access to financial services.
Alex Mirarchi is a Principal Capital Markets Industry Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Alex’s core focus is helping Global Exchanges and Infrastructure firms transform their businesses with AWS products and services. He also supports asset managers, investment banks, broker dealers, and fintechs in developing their cloud strategies. Alex joined AWS from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), where he was responsible for strategy and structuring programs and strategic partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Prior to Oracle, Alex worked in capital markets, selling Asian Equities to Hedge Funds in London with HSBC and in New York with Macquarie Group. Alex also held front office roles in Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange, and started his career in HSBC Global Asset Management’s alternatives division in London. Alex holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is based in New York.
