Summary: In the meeting we will hear about the FSB’s priorities for crypto-assets going forward as well as have an opportunity to influence the FSB high-level recommendations on the regulation, supervision, and oversight of crypto-asset activities and markets and high-level recommendations on the regulation, supervision and oversight of global stablecoin arrangements. These recommendations will likely form the basis of many regulatory frameworks around the world.
The meeting will focus on both the policy and technological aspects around crypto-assets.
Format: There will be a 40 min conversation followed by an audience Q&A.

James Auliffe is currently serving as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) where he focuses on technology, enterprise risk, cyber-security and market data. James joined the WFE from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority where he worked on EU Withdrawal. He has previously worked at the European Parliament and the UK Finance Ministry. James has a BSc in Politics and Economics from the University of Bath and a Master’s in Management from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel/Solvay Business School.
Dominic Polisano currently serves as Nasdaq’s Chief Risk and Regulatory Officer overseeing its Digital Asset initiatives. Dom joined Nasdaq in 2021 as Head of Risk Strategy, Resilience and Ethics having previously held the title of Head of Enterprise Risk Management for the Hong Kong Exchanges Group and was formerly Chair of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) Enterprise Risk Working Group. Dom holds a BSc in Computer Science from Southampton University and an M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Hong Kong.
Peter is a member of the Secretariat at the Financial Stability Board (FSB). At the FSB, Peter supports the crypto-asset and stablecoin work under the Standing Committee on Supervisory and Regulatory Cooperation (SRC), as well as other work related to non-bank financial intermediation and resolution.
Prior to joining the FSB, Peter was a lead examiner in the Federal Reserve Board’s Large Institution Coordination Committee (LISCC) Liquidity Program. Peter was responsible for leading horizontal examinations of US GSIBs and the largest foreign banks covering areas related to liquidity risk management and regulatory compliance. In addition, Peter was active in policy development work related to the domestic implementation of international liquidity rules. Peter started his career as a community bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, before becoming a liquidity risk management specialist and leading horizontal exams of large and complex banking organizations.
Peter is a commissioned bank examiner and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dan Chesterman currently serves as the Group Executive for Technology and Data as well Chief Information Officer at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). He has substantial experience in leadership and the management of IT and technology-enabled change. He has worked in many industries in his career with a particular focus over the last 15 years in financial services. He is also currently serving as Chair of the WFE’s Technology Working Group.
