Chhavi Sinha is currently leading the Enterprise Risk and Cyber-security work at the WFE.
Chhavi joined the WFE from the UK’s Financial Market Law Committee (FMLC) where she identified and addressed issues of legal uncertainty in the framework of wholesale financial markets. She has previously worked at the Indian Securities Market Regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the Bank of New York Mellon.
Chhavi holds a B.A.LL.B (Hons) from National Law Institute University, India and an LL.M (Masters of Law) in International Financial Law from King’s College London, Dickson Poon School of Law.
Victoria Powell leads WFE’s sustainability work.
Victoria has decades of experience in financial services regulation gained both in the UK regulator and as a founding member and Director at the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA). More recently she was a Director of Regulatory Policy at an Asset Manager, Ruffer LLP where she managed the implementation of numer-ous regulatory projects and contributed to Ruffer’s ESG strategy and processes.
Martina Menegat is a Legal Analyst in the Legal Services of the European Central Bank, specialising in financial regulation law, climate change and sustainable finance. She also works for the NGFS Experts’ Network on Legal Issues. Martina is currently pursuing a PhD in Law and Finance at the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining the ECB, she worked as a consultant on EU sustainable finance, central banking, and prudential policy in both academic and private sectors. She also served as a project officer for the legal non-profit Commonwealth and Climate Law Initiative (CCLI). She holds an LLM from the University of Glasgow and a combined Bachelor and Master in Law from the University of Trento.
Katharina Plavec is a Supervisor at the European Central Bank, part of a team supervising a global systemically important bank. A lawyer by training, she also gained valuable experience working in the ECB’s Legal Services as well as in law firms in Frankfurt and London. In 2023, she contributed to the NGFS sub-team on the supervision of climate-related litigation risks, which prepared a report on the micro-prudential supervision of such risks. Katharina holds a PhD in Law from the University of Vienna and a MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford.
